As we all learned in Steel Magnolias, blush and shy are two different hues of pink, and this stunning strawberry pineapple smoothie fits well into the blush category thanks to the red berries.
There's also coconut, yogurt and milk for a creamy texture, and fresh lime juice for tartness.
While frozen pineapple is always incredibly sweet and wonderful, as are frozen strawberries—which were frozen when in-season and ripe—if fresh ones are available,
we highly recommend using them for a lovely candy-like sweetness and pink color.
2 cups frozen pineapple chunks (from one [10-ounce] package) 1 1/4 cup coarsely chopped frozen strawberries (from a 10-ounce package)
1/2 cup plain or vanilla whole-milk strained yogurt (Greek-style) 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk.
1/4 cup of sweetened flaked coconut. Blend the pineapple, strawberries, yogurt,
milk, coconut, and lime juice until smooth, about 1 minute. Serve immediately.
